Kelly and I had wanted to try this place for a long time, as we had heard good things, and we had tried before, but the parking is pretty limited, but we finally made our way here.

The place is tiny, with a counter and a row of booths and some seats outside, where we sat, as we didn't want to wait for a booth.

The service was good, and so was the food. Decent diner food.

I had a very decent diner hamburger, the Galpinburger which was a large 1/2 pound burger with fries, coleslaw, lettuce, tomato and pickles. A bit pricy at $10.95, but as I said a decent diner burger.

Kelly had some sort of crab eggs benedict, which was delicious and huge, and quite tasty.

And we got a hot fudge sunday for desert and they split it into 2 dishes for us, and it was heaped with fudge above and below the ice cream.

Enjoyable, though a pain to park with decent food and a huge menu.

My wife Kelly and I had passed this place many times, and since she loves breakfast we thought we should give it a try, and honestly I wish we had passed. The best thing I can say is it is really inexpensive, but the food was mediocre at best and so was the service.

Not only that, but the place is kind of dark and dingy. And we while the waitresses were very busy, we really waited a while to even have someone come by and take our orders.

As I said the best thing was price, as Kelly got a 2+2+2+2 special for $4.99 with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and 2 sausage links. She wasn't too hot on the pancakes which were not very fluffy and the eggs weren't too special.

I went for a hamburger with fried and a salad. The salad was basically iceberg lettuce with Italian dressing. The fries seemed previously frozen, and burger though a decent size was nothing special at all.

Overall I would skip this place completely, unless you really need a cheap breakfast and that is the only criteria.

My wife and I had passed this place quite a few times and always wanted to try it out, and finally did. It has very little parking, and even less space inside. Just a few booths by the counter you stand to order from, and a few seats outside. With some 50's albums hanging and playing.

We were very excited by the menu and cheap prices, but were not so impressed by the food or the service. We waited sat in cheap plastic chairs outside (no booths were available) and waited a long time for our food, though not nearly as long as the couple next to us who ordered before us.

I got a Steak and Cheese Sandwhich and fries, and was very unimpressed. Low quality and very very greasy meat that was not very tasty.

Kelly got an original breakfast special, 2 eggs, bacon, and sausage with toast and home fries for $4.99 and found it OK, but nothing special.

We were going to get some ice cream when we left, but we waited for a while in line and gave up and left.

We would not go here again.

The LA Original, established in 1908 that created the French Dip in 1918, and has been owned b y the same people since 1927, and in this location since 1957, and home of the 9¢ cup of coffee, is an LA classic that everyone needs to try! This time I took Kelly because she likes French Dippe sandwiches, and had never been, and we had a wonderful time! The sandwiches are always good, and we tried some sides. There is also 2 ample parking lots on Ord, though if you are going on a week day at lunch, expect a long wait (and you will always wait in line along the sawdust strewn floor. Philippes is always good, and always tasty, and quite inexpensive as well.

My dad and I went here for lunch when he was in town off the recommendation of my uncle (something about cute waitresses is what I think he told my dad), and I have to say I am glad we went because the food is actually quite good, and has quite an eclectic menu. They also have some interesting looking drink concoctions, but we stayed away from those as it was lunch time. This is a delicious Montana eatery, just watch for parking enforcement.

For some reason I always thought this place was called the Beachwood Cafe, but I guess not. This is what I would call a very rustic coffee shop with breakfast and lunch. The decor is early 20th century America, and the wooden tables and chairs all wobble, and the register is about as old as can be. I actually think the place has better atmosphere than food, but it is alright to visit once in a while.

I actually didn't realize this was a chain until I looked at the web site, I had just passed this 50's style diner so many times, that Kelly and I finally decided to go. The service was decent, and so was the food. The place is kind of fun, and their is a little museum attached even, and there are jukeboxes at each table, but they are 25¢ instead of the 5¢ at Johnny Rockets. Still this place was not bad.

Located in the high rise at Sunset and Argylle, you park in the structure on Argyle, and be prepared for a wait. This place is new, and excellent and quite popular, so we had to wait for a seat. The place looks as hip as can be, and there is seating inside and out, and they spent time on design. And the food is great as well. We just had waffles, but I might even have to try a burger sometime, and they have a very large breakfast menu, sandwiches, soups, salads, burgers, vegetarians dishes, sweets, shakes, beers. Damn this place has a lot to offer, and the service is top notch. They filled my ice tea at least 7 times!

I didn't realize this was an international chain restaurant, but to me it seems a pale imitation of the Alcove Cafe, with interesting looking food, small portions and an overall disappointing experience. The menu made it sound wonderful, but Kelly and I were so disappointed and the portions so small, that we went to Johnny Rockets afterwards.

We had breakfast here, and were quite impressed, though it's tagline is "Famous for Roast Turkey" so I assuming it has a different lunch and dinner menu, but they have a huge selection for breakfast. From a ton of different types of omelets, pancakes and even cinnamon bread english muffins! Wow, never seen that before.

The service was fast and the food was pretty good. I would certainly eat here again.
